If you want to complie on SunOS 4.1.1.
Before building contrib/im/Xsi, contrib/Xaw, ..,
See X11R5 RELNOTES.TXT section 3.4.1 and build Xlib with 
     -DX_WCHAR -DX_LOCALE


(Because SunOS 4.1.1 is using wchar_t with 16bits,
 but xwnmo is using wchar_t with 32bits.
 And SunOS 4.1.1's setlocale() works only 'C' locale.
 One more recommendation is,
 if you cannot set enviornmant valiable "LANG", you can
 use resource XnlLanguage instead of "LANG"
