IntelliJ IDEA 2019.3.1 Released

December 18, Czech JetBrains announced IntelliJ IDEA 2019.3.1, the latest version of their integrated development environment for Java and other programming languages.

IntelliJ IDEA is an integrated development environment (IDE) that can be developed in languages for JVM, such as Groovy, Kotlin, and Scala.  Equipped with features like static code analysis, version control system, and code input auto completion, it focuses on developers’ productivity.

This is the first point release of the IntelliJ IDEA 2019.3 series, released in November.  Its primary focus is on feature improvements and bug fixes from 3.0

JetBrains Runtime 11, which is bundled as default, and the optional JetBrians Runtime 8 are both upgraded.  Now JetBrains Runtime 11 is based on top of OpenJDK 11.0.5, and the performance issue, that occurred during changing the button status, has been fixed.

Now focus don’t get lost anymore when a tool window is opened and closed, and the editor tab is in the Split mode.  After closing the Commit dialogue, focus now returns to editor.

The IDE hanging issue when performing Subversion actions has been fixed.  Also, IDE panel properties can now be saved.  Now it supports OutputFilenameMapping property of Apache Maven-EAR-Plugin.

IntelliJ IDEA 2019.3.1 is available on the project’s web site.
