UW-IMAPサーバーへのアクセス (2005-10-21 03:25 by Anonymous #17327)

FreeBSD5.2.1、MacOSX10.4.2からIMAPアクセスを試してみたところ、なにも作業せずに終了してしまうようです。以下、投入したコマンドと結果を記します。

> ./bsfilter --imap --imap-server=mail.sample.com --imap-user=hoge --imap-password=HOGE --imap-fetch-unflagged -a --insert-flag --insert-probability -d -v --imap-auth login
start Fri Oct 21 03:06:02 JST 2005
open /home/hoge/.bsfilter/C.prob.sdbm 16571 tokens 16571 mails by 91547.
open /home/hoge/.bsfilter/ja.prob.sdbm 176500 tokens 176500 mails by 91547.
try to login imap server for hoge with authenticate login
close /home/hoge/.bsfilter/C.prob.sdbm 16571 tokens 16571 mails by 91547.
close /home/hoge/.bsfilter/ja.prob.sdbm 176500 tokens 176500 mails by 91547.
end Fri Oct 21 03:06:06 JST 2005

imap.rbは'--imap-auth login'付でアクセスすれば正常にログインできるようです。
POP Proxyは正常動作します。

原因追求のためになにかできることはありますでしょうか？

例外が上がっていないのでログインは成功していると思います。引数としてメールボックスの名前を指定して下さい。

まずは、--imap-fetch-unflagged -a --insert-flag --insert-probability を外して、メールの本文が読めるかだけを確認した方がいいと思います。本文を読んでいれば、-dが付いているので、単語ごとのspam確率が表示されます。

--imap-fetch-unflagged -a --insert-flag --insert-probabilityを外して、メールボックスに"inbox"を指定したところ動作しました。ありがとうございました。

ただ、FreeBSDでは動作したのですが、MacOSXでは
try to login imap server for hoge with authenticate login
のあとにダンマリになってしまいました。
netstatで見てみると、IMAPサーバーへのセッションは確率しているようでしたが、何もしていない様子です。

imap.rbではログインできました。（quit以外のコマンドは試していませんが）
POP proxyモードでの動作は問題ないようです。
ちなみにバージョンは'ruby 1.8.2 (2004-12-25) [powerpc-darwin8.0]'です。

なにか似たような事例はありますでしょうか？

クライアントとは別のマシンがIMAPサーバとなっており、そこへFreeBSDとMacOSXからアクセスしている状況でしょうか?

ダンマリ状態のときのIMAPサーバの負荷はどうなってますでしょうか?

OS依存に関連した話ですと、
- rubyを再buildしたら直ったケース

- 別OS/CPUからbsfilterのデータベースを共有しようとして問題になったケース
を覚えています。
今回とは別問題な感じがしますけれども。

今日改めてアクセスしたらMacOSXも動作している模様です。
お騒がせしました。

前回うまく動作しなかった際でもちゃんとネットワークは動作していましたので、ネットワークが原因ではないと思います。前回との違いは途中マシンをリブートしてることぐらいです。
原因が特定できないのが気持ち悪いのですが再現しないのではしょうがないですね。
