Clear text window (2018-09-25 23:51 by Jerónimo #81963)

Hello, is there any instruction to clear the text window in BasicAcc2? I couldn't find it.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

Ofcourse. But Clear is for the graphics window, not for the text window.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

There are no way to erase console text outputs.
When texts are put on a file, they can be erased by the ERASE statement.

Is there a way to lock the pointer (cursor) in text window? Because if the user touchs any place in the text window, the output happens there, out of place.

Thank you very much.

Editing the source file may resolve the problem.
Insert a line
SelStart:=Length(Lines.Text)+1;
at line 612 of source\textfrm.pas,

procedure TTextForm.AppendString(const s:string);
begin
with memo1 do
begin
Lines.BeginUpdate;
SelStart:=Length(Lines.Text)+1;
SelText:=s;
Lines.EndUpdate;
end;
Application.ProcessMessages;
end;
