Drummania BGM no sound (2014-11-23 11:47 by cael47 #74905)

Hello,

I don't know if I installed my codec incorrectly. I installed Vorbis Ogg ACM Codec.
And in run > msinfo32 > system summary > components > multimedia > audio codecs, I see vorbis.acm codec is present. However, if I try to play the background music files with vlc, there's just silence. And in dtxmania, there's no BGM just guitar/drum sounds. Any ideas?

I had it working on my system last year but I had to reformat due to the hardware issue. NO idea why it's not working anymore. My OS is still the same--WIndows 7 x64.

First of all, please use the latest version of DTXMania. (Release 100 or 099b).
In old version (067b etc), there are some issues about sound streaming playback.

If you still fail playabck ogg file even if you try the latest version,
then please send me the dtx data you can't playback,
and send me DTXManiaLog.txt to analyse about it.

Are you talking about the Ogg Vorbis packed into RIFF WAVE (.wav) files? (Used in the GFDM DTX)
Maybe you have not installed the codec correctly for your 64-bit system.
Please see this: ht tp://pastebin.com/q2UABEG6

VLC uses its own codecs, by the way. So it's not a good test to see if your system can handle certain formats.
