BASE is the Basic Analysis and Security Engine. It
is based on the code from the Analysis Console for
Intrusion Databases (ACID) project. This

This version includes a major performance improvement for MySQL databases. It also fixes a number of bugs that users of PostgreSQL have reported, including support for PostgreSQL 8.0. Several issues with PHP 5 and navigation through the system have been fixed, as well as a long standing bug with the host caching system. A few new features have been included in this release, most notably DShield IP lookups and summary statistics throughout the system.
This release includes many bugfixes. It includes the Flow-Portscan preprocessor patch. It has support for multiple languages, with 11 languages included in the package. It has a fully functional user authentication and role-basing system.
