Conquest is a real-time multi-player space warfare game originally written in ratfor for the vax/vms platform. It was an early predecessor to netrek. It supports OpenGL rendering and sound.

This version is a major upgrade from 8.2. It adds full sound support via SDL and SDL_Mixer, magfactors (zoom in/out on LR/SR scan), and several fixes and improvements to the GL client. TCP Wrappers is now optionally supported in conquestd and conqmetad.
This version adds the ability to zoom in and out in short-range and long-range scan modes. A great number of bugs and other issues in the GL client were fixed.
