Project Description

This is a framebuffer driver for the Linux 2.4.x kernel that supports the Chips&Technologies 65548 video chip found in older Toshiba Satellite notebooks and Fujitsu Point 510. There is also experimental support for 65545 and 65540 chipsets.

A bug related to incorrect colors for accelerated
console in 16bpp mode have been fixed. The
hardware cursor no longer messes up the screen
with the X11 fbdev driver.

The driver has been rewritten from scratch. It now supports 800x600 and
640x480 modes in both 8 and 16 bit color depths. You can switch between
them during runtime. You can toggle acceleration and alter the pixel
clock rate. Most important of all, there is now a penguin on boot.

16bpp mode is finally usable (does not flicker on the LCD). A problem with scrolling the screen when using an 8x8 font has been fixed. FBI tool no longer destroys the hardware cursor image.
