Damn Small Linux is a business-card size (50MB) Live CD Linux distribution. Despite its minuscule size it strives to have a functional and easy to use desktop.

This release adds the Firefox Web browser, MediaPlayer,
enjoympeg and ascd (replacing xmms), the Minimum Profit
editor (replacing Scite and Zile), spell checking for Sylpheed
email, an update for emelfm filetypes for multimedia, many
space saving cuts, and drops Tuxnes and Mutella.
This version features a new Siag Office word processor and
spreadsheet. It drops Ted and ABS. Adjustments were made
to the smbclient GUI, the control panel for backup, and to
the mydslgui color legend. There were some cleanups and
removal of old files.
This version added a new control panel GUI, a new Xvesa video setup GUI, and a new smbclient GUI. The improved mydsl GUI now groups applications according to category. Auto-restore of backup files was implemented with boot time "norestore" override. The prism2 driver was updated to support auto-detected USB ethernet cards. The mc colors when issued from the CLI were updated and a mkdosswapfile script was added. Problems with restarting the window manager were fixed.
ndiswrapper and a GUI were added along with GUIs
for adding users, controlling dial-up PPP, and setting
up prism2 devices. emelfm was added as a
super-user menu item. The colors used by mc when
launched from the menu were changed. A View in
Scite command was added to emelfm.
