Project Description

driveplugger is a removable storage manager that
safely puts control into the hands of the user. It
makes devices such as USB drives, CDROMs, or any
other removable media easy to use. The user can
assign names to devices. Browsing, ejection, and
other operations can be done through a tray icon.

A bug where multiple group numbers were listed in fstab has been fixed. UID/GID entries for unsupported filesystems have been fixed.

The Linux::CDROM dependency has been removed in favor of plain ioctl. Event caching has been added to handle events that occur when the user agent is not running. uid= and gid= options have been added to fstab entries to fix incorrect permissions with some filesystems.

This release will create base mount directory if it does not exist. The CD-ROM polling script now uses the CDROMREADTOCHDR ioctl to check for discs, which does not put messages in syslog.
