Project Description

feh is a fast, lightweight image viewer that uses imlib2. It is command line-driven and supports multiple images through slideshows, thumbnail browsing or multiple windows, and montages or index prints using TrueType fonts to display file information. Advanced features include fast dynamic zooming, progressive loading, loading via HTTP (with reload support for watching webcams), recursive file opening (slideshow of a directory hierarchy), and mouse wheel and keyboard control.

Some minor bugfixes and a few new features; bASIC IN-Place editing (rotate image by multiples of 90 degrees) for those "just uploaded from the digicam" images, fixes for the background setting code, and a new file, ~/.fehbg, which can be eval'd in your X startup script to reinstate the last set-by-feh background image when you restart X (useful for window managers that don't remember what background you had set).

The background setting works better under non-E window managers (and has Eterm support). This release shows the zoom level while zooming and has lots more menu items, including configuration changes (options menu) and fullscreen/window mode switch on a per-window basis. There are several other bugfixes and new features.
