File::Scan allows users to make multi-platform virus scanners which can detect Windows/DOS/Mac viruses. It include a virus scanner and signatures database.

The PWS-Mob.dr virus signature was added, and the
W32/Mimail@MM signature was updated again to
detect W32/Mimail.g@MM and W32/Mimail.i@MM
variants. A bug in the base64 decoder of the
example scripts has been fixed.
A callback feature has been added to the scan_text
function to check raw Base64 files. A W32/Sober@MM
virus signature was added, and the W32/Mimail@MM
signature has been updated. There are also some
feature enchancements in the scanners examples.
The W32/Swen@MM virus signature has been updated and a new functionality
has been added to the scanner example, as well a fix to security
vulnerability.
