capable of rendering into an SVG-font. This
includes all PostScript fonts, GhostScript's own

This release removed the dependency on getopt for better interoperability on different platforms. Additional error reporting was implemented and a bug concerning the required "horiz-adv-x" attribute in font-elements was fixed.
More verbose error reporting was added, and
additional configuration options were provided,
easing installation on non-Linux systems. The
documentation was extended slightly.
Two bugs have been fixed: font2svg now tests correctly for kpsewhich option, and character 200 was missing in the symbols table. font2svg can now load and execute dvips encodings and also convert GhostScript's own builtin fonts.
Symbol widths are now acquired by charwidth instead of charbbox, which results in the same widths as in the original .tfm files. Fonts can now be re-encoded via tables. New options for encoding and selecting symbols have been added. Filenames can be expanded automatically via kpsewhich. The tar package now unpacks into a separate directory.
