This beta release includes fixes for PostgreSQL 7.3 incompatibilities, 1st-of-the-month billing running one day late, and other bugfixes. ACH (electronic check) support has been added to the signup server, and rendering time for the main Customer View page has been significantly optimized.
Bandwidth usage can now be tracked and billed on
input, output, or total data transferred from a
FreeRADIUS, ICRADIUS, or Radiator RADIUS SQL
database. Bandwidth and hourly usage is now
displayed on the Account View screen. New "unapply
payment" and "change package" functions are
available in the Web interface. The shellcommands
export gained suspension/unsuspension hooks, and
the vpopmail export gained a restart command.
Bugs were fixed in the hourly charging from SQL
RADIUS, freeside-queued, ACH, signup server
declines, searching with Pg before 7.1 or non-Pg
databases, and the Mason Web UI.
Electronic checks (ACH) are now supported. New
pricing plans allow per-hour charges based on
direct query of a FreeRADIUS or ICRADIUS radacct
SQL table (no session monitor is necessary). A new
suspended package report is available, as well as
"package expiration" support, allowing a customer
to be scheduled for cancellation at a later date.
The user-interface now has the ability to hide all
billing information and be used for customer
tracking and provisioning only. The vpopmail
export was overhauled, and sqlradius export to
PostgreSQL was fixed.
This is intended to be a maintenance release and should be a drop-in
replacement for 1.4.0. The Web interface now has "unprovision" links
for individual accounts, as well as HTTP upload of CSV customer and
charge data. Default external shell commands now update GECOS values
and delete old home directories. vpopmail exporting has been updated,
and a number of minor bugs have been fixed.
