FunkLoad

This release comes with a new monitoring plugin system. You can define your own monitor agent or use existing third-party agents like Munin or Nagios. HTTP HEAD, OPTIONS, and any other methods are now handled, which means that WebDAV is supported.

This major release adds new reporting features. To follow performance evolution over time, FunkLoad provides a trend report with 3D charts. Editing reports and producing professional PDF is now easy with the new emacs Org-mode output. The sources have been migrated to github and the FunkLoad site and documentation have been refactored. This version also comes with a few bug fixes.

This version comes with a new distributed mode that enables you to spread the bench runner over a group of worker machines. FunkLoad now supports PUT/DELETE methods. The documentation has been reviewed. Many fixes were made.

This release adds Apdex (Application Performance inDEX) to the bench report. The Apdex is a numerical measure of user satisfaction that converts many measurements into one number on a uniform scale of 0-to-1 (0 = no users satisfied, 1 = all users satisfied).

The report builder is now able to merge result files to produce a report for distributed bench. Miscellaneous speed improvements have been made.
