GForge is a Web-based collaborative development environment. It's based on a fork of the 2.61 SourceForge code, which used to be available via anonymous CVS from VA Software, but has been extensively rewritten and enhanced.

The Unix-style interface uses the SOAP API to let you access, add, and update Bugs, Tasks, and File Releases. The Tinderbox build tool has been integrated with a plugin. Major enhancements in the tracker include powerful new querying capabilities, new bugzilla-like fields by default, a configurable template project, and tracker cloning. A plugin has been developed for MS Project that allows it to synchronize tasks with GForge task manager subprojects.
