GnuAccounting is an accounting and bookkeeping application. It interfaces with Moneyplex, Starmoney, Karm, and Winston, embeds OpenOffice.org and Firefox, and utilizes either HSQLDB or a separate MySQL installation.

GnuAccounting is now a portable application and has initial bookkeeping features. An import for Moneyplex has been added. The typical bookkeeping workflow: export the bank account as XML in Moneyplex, import in GnuAccounting (new button: accounting), select for every entry debit account, credit account, voucher, etc., and finish the wizard. All entries can later be accessed with the new menu item Reports/Accounts: Table 1 will contain a list of accounts, Table 2 a T-Accounts view on accounts which were actually used, and Table 3 the complete journal.
