GnuAccounting is an accounting and bookkeeping application. It interfaces with Moneyplex, Starmoney, Karm, and Winston, embeds OpenOffice.org and Firefox, and utilizes either HSQLDB or a separate MySQL installation.

One can now load transactions into the new transaction wizard; this way you can e.g. create invoices from offers. A minor and a critical bug has been fixed: in former releases, the type of transaction did not find its way into the database.
When the product or number of items are changed in the wizard to create new invoices (credit memos, etc.), the new total (per item) gets updated in the wizard, not just in the final invoice.
This release now makes HSQLDB usable. HSQLDB is
the database embedded in gnuaccounting.
Previously, only MySQL would work and you could
not edit taxes or products when using HSQLDB.
This release uses SWT 3.2. The Windows version should be fully functional again (yet another Windows-related bugfix), and printing now works again. The complete configuration has been refactored, which means that important errors may now block the user (e.g. please select your OpenOffice.org path) and Gnuaccounting will now no longer require a restart after the first configuration.
The starter/splash screen was redundant since
0.3.4, and so it has been removed. HSQLDB shutdown
is now clean, and the lockfile now gets removed
upon application shutdown. Since 0.3.4,
GnuAccounting once again starts in the MS Windows
operating system, but transactions, such as
invoices, seem to suffer from another bug.
