Project Description

Ice Sound Manager was designed to ease the
management of sound events, sound themes, and the
IceSound server in the IceWM window manager. It is
also intended to be an improvement upon the noble
but primitive icesndcfg. The main improvements
over icesndcfg include a support for sound event
"themes", more comprehensive help, easy management
and configuration of the IceSound server, a
cleaner GUI interface, automatic starting of the
IceSound server, and a more conservative approach
to disk space usage.

Both the English and Spanish help files have been updated. A 'Run' command was added to the 'File' menu. The code for reading help files has been cleaned up.

In this version, support was added for software update checking from the 'File' menu. IceSoundManager now supports the $ICEWM_PRIVCFG environment variable. The complete user interface was changed to a more modern-looking theme. Locale (gettext) and the Spanish language locale support were updated, with some corrections.

Now uses a shared 'icewmcp_common.py' module. gettext (foreign language) support, complete Spanish language (gettext) support (not yet perfected for grammar), an improved GUI so that IceSoundManager uses less screen space, and a Spanish help file 'icesound-es-help.html' have been added.
