Project Description

iptables is built on top of netfilter, the packet alteration framework for Linux 2.4.x and 2.6.x. It is a major rewrite of its predecessor ipchains, and is used to control packet filtering, Network Address Translation (masquerading, portforwarding, transparent proxying), and special effects such as packet mangling.

1.3.1

This release fixes CLUSTERIP rule deletion, libip6t_random compilation, and CONNMARK on 32-bit user space / 64-bit kernel architectures. It makes sure that the order of chains in the listing is the same as it was in the 1.2.x releases.
