Project Description

irssi-xmpp is an irssi plugin to connect to the
Jabber network. It aims to provide good
integration in this text-based IRC client. It can
send and receive messages in irssi's query
windows. A roster is shown for tracking contacts'
resources. Contacts can be managed. Command
completion, multiple accounts (in different
connections), Unicode, and SSL are supported.

This release adds STARTTLS support (enabled by default if the parameter -ssl is not specified), reworks the way connections are performed, adds a password prompt if no password was specified, adds a connection timeout in case there is no response from the server so that the connection will be reset after a certain amount of time (setting "server_connect_timeout"), adds a /CYCLE command, and has many others minor changes and fixes.
