Project Description

jEdit is an Open Source text editor written in Java. It has many useful features, such as syntax highlighting, bracket matching, regular expression searching, multiple file search and replace, folding, and keyboard macros. jEdit also includes a powerful plugin architecture that allows more than 80 plugins to be downloaded and installed from within the editor.

Improved support for multiple encodings, syntax highlighting for R2000 assembly and Occam, icons in file system browser can be toggled on and off, gnu.regexp 1.1.3 with support for positive and negative lookaheads, startup macro feature replaced with 'startup scripts', an improved edit server, ability to download source/binaries or only binaries in the plugin manager, and many other minor improvements and bugfixes.
