Project Description

JExifViewer is a program for displaying and
comparing EXIF information stored in JPEG files
created by digital cameras. JExifViewer has an
image viewer in which you can rotate, flip, and
zoom in or out of the selected image. You can also
print an image. You can also rename, copy, move,
and delete images. Images can be displayed in a slideshow. At the moment, JExifViewer is
localized in English and German. A short online
help document is available.

RPM and deb packages for Linux systems. Automatic and manual checks for new versions. Better image preloading in slideshow mode. The shortcut for slideshow start/stop is now F4, and should work. A bugfix for slideshow random mode. Some tunings for smarter garbage collection (size heap and incremental garbage collection have been fixed). A language selection bugfix. The launcher application (jstart) has been improved. The Linux shell script for starting was improved. Code cleanup (code used by other applications has been moved into the shared package). Tested with Java 6.

Date and time stamps are displayed using locales. Timestamps taken from the filesystem can be displayed in the table. The background color of the image viewer can be chosen. Better performance in image displaying (fewer gc calls). Tested with 64-bit Java runtime (Linux). Some bugfixes. Preloading is done in a sequential way for better performance. You can rename, copy, move, and delete images listed in the table. Language can be selected by the user. File size can be displayed in the table.
