Project Description

KBibTeX is a BibTeX editor for KDE to edit bibliographies used with LaTeX. Features include comfortable input masks, starting Web queries (e. g. Google or PubMed), and exporting to PDF, PostScript, RTF, and XML/HTML. As KBibTeX is using KDE's KParts technology, it can be embedded into Kile or Konqueror.

Support was added for BibUtils and Bib2Db5 to read and write more bibliography formats. Duplicates can be found in bibliography files. Multiple backup files are created. All text encodings supported by iconv are supported. The ability to query CiteSeerX, IEEExplorer, Computer Science Bibliographies, and ScienceDirect was added. The ability to query Z39.50 servers was added. Viewing primary and online references was added. Entry IDs can be normalized according to a suggestion system. Multiple selection in the sidebar is now possible. Numerous other improvements were made. Various bugs were fixed.
