This release contains further enhancements in the
database connectivity library. Experimental
improvements were made in Table Designer, such as
schema altering without removing table contents
and an "Image" data type. Combo boxes (drop down
lists) are now data-aware. Improvements were done
in Query Designer. The "Image Box" widget is now
data-aware in Kexi forms.

This version brings fixes for importing CSV data, improved handling date values, fixes for a number of crashes, and fixes in the table view. Database files are now properly opened regardless of whether the path provided is relative or not. A problem in forms with loading the form plugin due to using --disable-rpath and --enable-new-ldflags has been fixed, and data changes using db-aware check boxes are now possible.

Numerous fixes for bugs found after the 1.0 release.

This version is released within KOffice 1.5. Changes include much improved data-aware forms, a new form called the Designer's Data Source Pane for assigning data source to forms and widgets, importing from CSV files and pasting tabular data from/to the clipboard, support for images in forms, improved MS Access (MDB) file import, importing of server databases to file-based projects, an improved server connection dialog, a scripting plugin (Python and Ruby), simple printouts, and a new handbook.

This release focuses on stability fixes and usability improvements. Data handling in MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQLite database drivers have been fixed, and data import/export has been improved. A new CopyCenter script package has been added.
