Project Description

KFontinst is a KDE-based TrueType and Type1 font installer. Its features include: the abilty to preview fonts before installing, generation of a Ghostscript Fontmap file (including aliases for Qt-generated Postscript), StarOffice configuration, and generation of AFM files for use with StarOffice & AbiWord.

Creation of fonts.scale and AFM files for TrueType fonts has been altered to detect if the font is capable of using one of the extended xfsft encodings. The StarOffice config has been modified to change xprinter.prolog to accomodate the use of extended encodings. The ability to 'fix' a TrueType font's Postscript names table has been added, for example, the author's times.ttf had the euro symbol named as uni20ac instead of Euro. General bugfixes.
