mousedev is now used for all USB mice in an attempt to fix some reported problems. Most of the GNOME 1 stuff was deleted because of space limits. The following packages will be omitted until a GNOME2 version exists and fits: evolution, libguppi16, gcdmaster, gnome-games, and kino. Flash-Installer was added. Support for ALSA drivers was added, but it is untested. This feature can be used by adding the "alsa" option to the boot command. An argument can be passed to the "alsa" option to specify a particular sound card driver.

Software updates and fixes.

The Samba, Mozilla, IceWM, larswm, Kismet, Evolution, fontconfig, gnome-pilot, cpuburn, dvd+rw-tools, and OpenOffice packages were updated. KDE 3.1 was included, bugfixes were made, and some of the older games and packages were cleaned up.

This version includes lots of updates and bugfixes, including fixes for the checkroot.sh script (it now adds the correct / entry after a HD install), better support in isdn-config for non-hisax ISDN cards, and more KDE menu reordering.

cdbakeoven has been replaced by k3b. Boot options keyboard= and xkeyboad= have been added. A contributed compressloop has been added to the cloop-utils package. Compression level for the compressed iso9660 image is now 9 by default. Hardware detection has been updated with the Trident X module and more wireless cards. There is some KDE menu restructuring and knx-hdinstall 0.37.
