Project Description

Links is graphics and text mode WWW browser, similar to Lynx. It displays tables, frames, downloads on background, uses HTTP/1.1 keepalive connections, and features Javascript. In graphics mode it displays PNG, JPEG, GIF, TIFF, and XBM pictures, runs external bindings on other types, and features anti-aliased font, smooth image zooming, 48-bit dithering, and gamma and aspect ratio correction.

This release has graphical capabilities, Javascript, and an improved bookmark manager. Graphics run on Xlib, SVGAlib, framebuffer, OS/2 PMShell, and the Atheos GUI. There is built in display of PNG, JPG, GIF, TIFF, and XBM, and external bindings for others. There are built in antialiased fonts, LCD optimizations, smooth text and image resizing, gamma correction, 48-bit Floyd-Steinberg dithering, aspect ratio correction, Russian, Greek, Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese, and Georgian fonts, and incremental image display.
