Project Description

Linux Security Auditing Tool (LSAT) is a post install security auditing tool. It is modular in design, so new features can be added quickly. It checks many system configurations and local network settings on the system for common security/config errors and for packages that are not needed. It has been tested on Linux (Gentoo, Red Hat, Debian, etc.) and Solaris (SunOS 2.x).

0.5.5

An error in the checkpkgs, where it was not
reporting bad packages, was fixed. An error in
dostuff module, where it was failing on some
shellcode, was fixed. A checkrpm module and a
README.checkrpm were added. Checkrpm now checks
and reports RPM integrity on RedHat-based systems.
Checkrpm is enabled by the -r switch, and it does
not run if lsat is invoked with no args.
