Project Description

Linux Security Auditing Tool (LSAT) is a post install security auditing tool. It is modular in design, so new features can be added quickly. It checks many system configurations and local network settings on the system for common security/config errors and for packages that are not needed. It has been tested on Linux (Gentoo, Red Hat, Debian, etc.) and Solaris (SunOS 2.x).

0.5.4

Some incorrect variable definitions were fixed.
Some unused variables were removed from modules.
A problem that the checkrc module had with large
amounts of services was fixed. Verbose output was
cleaned up. Lsat now prints module names as it
runs. A silent mode, in which lsat only reports
starting and ending, was added. The checkfiles
module now checks for files with no owner and no
group. A patch against lsat-0.5.2 is available.
