lshw (HardWare LiSter) is a small tool for Linux to provide detailed information on the hardware configuration of the machine. It can report exact memory configuration, firmware version, mainboard configuration, CPU version and speed, cache configuration, bus speed, etc.

This version add a new output format to report bus
information, includes scanning for battery data on laptops
and adds with the usual batch of fixes a workaround for a
problem with 2.6.10 kernels that made IDE devices
disappear. It also improves portability to x86-64 platforms
and to older distributions such as RedHat 7.3.
