Project Description

lshw (HardWare LiSter) is a small tool for Linux to provide detailed information on the hardware configuration of the machine. It can report exact memory configuration, firmware version, mainboard configuration, CPU version and speed, cache configuration, bus speed, etc.

This release fixed an SCSI-related crash on some architectures (including PA-RISC and PowerPC) and suppressed annoying kernel error messages when probing IDE devices. Portability was improved (especially for compilation with GCC 2.95.x). Additional information is now reported on LAN interfaces (WLAN capabilities, speed, etc.).
