A major improvement to the scalability has been achieved with an a change to megaupload's internals. The Perl script has been changed to process the incoming post data instead of merely passing it on to the PHP script. The PHP script now receives a list of uploaded files instead of the files themselves.
Cookies which were removed in version 1.00 have
been reintroduced with improvements. The cookie
data can now be passed between the Perl scripts
and the PHP scripts. This is available as an
optional feature to eliminate the installation
issues which were reported with version 0.90.
