Project Description

nxtvepg is a decoder and browser for Nextview, a subscription-free electronic TV program guide in the analog domain. Nextview EPG currently is broadcast in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, France, and Turkey, and it covers the schedules of all major TV networks in these countries. nxtvepg is an X11 application with a GUI based on Tcl/Tk and uses video4linux or BSD bktr drivers for data acquisition through a TV tuner card.

The ability to manually resize all columns in the TV program listing was added. The display of content description texts was improved. A search filter was added which allows setting of minimum and maximum run time lengths. The "timescale" statistics display was made large enough to reflect all programs in the database. Keyboard focus handling was improved and many key bindings added. The search text history was made available in the text search filter dialog. The possibility to remove obsolete providers was added to the Nextview provider scan.
