This release enables the Windows quickstarter with extended an Menu with
Application shortcuts again. The standard filesystem explorer on all
three relevant desktops, GNOME (Nautilus), KDE (Konqueror), and Windows
(Explorer), supports a thumbnail view mode in which a small preview of
the respective filesystem object will be displayed if available. By
providing a custom plugin for the particular filesystem explorer, it
is possible to display a thumbnail representation of an OpenOffice.org
file.

This release supports Thunderbird address books and multiple profiles from Mozilla/Thunderbird. In TableWizard, the Primary Key page now offers two AutoValueCheckboxes. ReportWizard reports based on queries no longer show Sorting field names. Unified form related toolbars were provided in Writer. TableWizard's Final Page now offers list boxes for schemes and catalogs. The Excel filter now has a "Use labels in formulas" option when loading and saving. The vertical ruler is now switched on by default.
