Enhanced file format support, including the ability to export in PDF/DocBook/XML/XHTML/SWF formats, internationalization (including CTL, vertical, and bidirectional writing), and many MS Office compatibility enhancements in all the OpenOffice components.
Import and export support was enhanced for the following file formats: PDF, DocBook, XML, XHTML, SWF, and for mobile device formats like AportisDoc (Palm), Pocket Word, and Pocket Excel. This version also comes with an XSLT-based filter for Office 2003 XML documents. Support for CTL, vertical, and bidirectional writing was added for internalization. MS Office compatibility enhancements were made for all OpenOffice components.
This release adds support for printer independent layout, GUI support for XSLT based filters, improvements to PDF export, enhanced OLE editing support on Windows, and a very large number of bugfixes.
