Oracle Perl Hotbackup for Unix uses DBI to connect
to Oracle. It uses File:Slurp, zlib, and
parallelization to back up all online table spaces
for a database. As with any hot backup each table
space is varied into backup mode and all files
relative to a table space are backed up.
