PhpLabware is a database system with features similar to Filemaker and Access, but is completely Web-based. Relational
databases can be defined through the Web interface and extended with PHP plugin code. User and group access is regulated at the record level. It was written by and for life sciences research scientists, but should be generally useful as a Web-based front end to SQL databases.

The capability to do full text searches on uploaded PDF, Word or text files was added. The datatypes user, date, int, float, and image were added. Images are represented by thumbnails in the table view. The handling of datatype 'table' was improved to the extent that (nested) relations to other tables can now be easily made. Export capabilities were added and the import functionality was made much more robust. An HTML-based template mechanism now allows for user-defined reports of the data.
