Project Description

Pure FTP Server is a fast, production quality, standards-conformant FTP server based on Troll-FTPd. It has no known vulnerability, it is trivial to set up, and it is especially designed for modern kernels. Features include PAM support, IPv6, chroot()ed home directories, virtual domains, built-in 'ls', FXP protocol, anti-warez system, bandwidth throttling, restricted ports for passive downloads, an LDAP backend, XML output, and more.

System quotas are now supported on Linux, renaming files is now compatible with virtual quotas, pure-ftpwho displays individual bandwidth again, on-demand creation of home directories can now create all parent directories, scripts called after an upload can now get virtual user names, and PureDB lookups are now 2x to 10x faster. ASCII downloads have been optimized, and an interoperability problem with Macromedia Homesite have been fixed.
