This release includes a fix for a bug where
rhupdate would attempt to use MDTM before checking
to see if the FTP server supported it, an
--absolute option to not attempt to be smart about
the directory it has been pointed at, and the
ability to specify multiple include/exclude options.
Fixes for anonymous FTP problems, version number comparisons (instead of just looking for differences), checking for "powertools" updates as well as the core OS, and the --hash option takes an optional parameter for the number of bytes per hash.
A fix for a bug with Red Hat's FTP servers (proper detection of half-connected anonymous connections), update to --hash to take a parameter (number of bytes per hash), --download resumes failed downloads, and the version number checking has been completely revamped.
This is a merge from the beta branch to the stable branch, updated to handle the new Red Hat updates directory structure. New options including --retries, --hash, --passive, and --all, new download directories, setting modification times, fixes for handling noarch updates correctly, better handling of bad hostnames, improved configure script, and a new install target.
Locating "locale" via configure instead of assuming that it is in the path, and checking the "noarch" architecture if an update isn't located in the machine arch or the default.
