Rosegarden is an audio and MIDI sequencer, score editor, and general-purpose music composition and editing environment. It is an easy-to-learn, attractive application that runs on Linux. It is ideal for composers, musicians, music students, and small studio or home recording environments.

This is an initial developer-only release of a wholly new C++ KDE-based version of Rosegarden (release 0.1 of Rosegarden 4). It contains only a tiny fraction of the functionality of Rosegarden 2.1 and is not stable or complete enough to be of interest to end-users. We are releasing and announcing it because we would like to attract skilled contributors.
