rpmrebuild is a tool to build an RPM file from a package that has already been installed. It can be used to easily build modified packages, and works on any Linux distribution that uses RPM.

The script was recoded to allow a modular specfile
to be built. Batch (--change-spec-* options) and
interactive (--edit-* options) changes are now
possible on specific spec parts. Plugin writing is
easier, and three plugin examples are provided.
Several bugs were fixed (option analysis and
AutoRequire/AutoProvide treatment). The security
was improved with the working directories changed
to ~/.tmp/rpmrebuild.
