Project Description

The "Schily" Tool Box is a set of tools written or
managed by Jörg Schilling. It includes programs
like: cdrecord, cdda2wav, readcd, mkisofs, smake,
bsh, btcflash, calc, calltree, change, compare,
count, cpp (K&R original), devdump, hdump, isodebug, isodump, isoinfo, isovfy, label, mt, p, patch, sccs, scgcheck, scpio, sdd, sfind, sformat, smake, sh (Bourne Shell), star, star_sym, suntar, gnutar, tartest, termcap, and ved.

Wide char support now works on Mac OS X. The command line history editor from bsh (also used by the included Bourne Shell) now correctly uses wcwidth() to compute the visible char width (which is needed for Japanese chars). sdd now supports a -md5 option. libxtermcap now correctly checks for octal numbers in \ooo escapes. The termcap compiler now includes much better checks for correct syntax in the termcap entries, as well as checks for correct quoting in string parameters and for correct format specifiers in parameterized strings. Cdrtools was bumped to 2.01.01a61.

Support for multi-byte locales was added to the history command line editor for "bsh" and the "Bourne Shell". libschily now includes a wide char aware pattern matcher. Support was added for 64-bit compilation on Mac OS X.

Cdrtools was bumped to 2.01.01a60. bsh was bumped to 6.11. Support was added for NT-6.0 (Win Vista) and NT-6.1 (Win 7) and Win64 using cl and gcc. The Schily.Copyright file was added to list copyright holders. A bug in star that caused star to dump core when in copy mode was fixed. star/checkerr.c now correctly handles the "errctl=WARN" directive. star -C missing-dir now correctly sets the exitcode. star -C missing-dir may now be handled by a new errctl= tag "CHRDIR". star -X is now working correctly. smake now supports -C. Alias support in bsh was enhanced.

smake is allowed to use /bin/bosh instead of bash
on Linux or ksh on HP-UX. Some small problems were
fixed in smake. cdrtools was upgraded to
2.01.01a53. Some extensions were made as a first
step to allow compilation on the ATARI ST with
MINT.
