Project Description

ScummVM is an interpreter and emulator for several classic graphic point-and-click adventure games. Support is currently available for: Adventure Soft's Simon the Sorcerer 1 and 2; Revolution's Beneath A Steel Sky, Broken Sword 1, and Broken Sword 2; Flight of the Amazon Queen; Wyrmkeep's Inherit the Earth; Coktel Vision's Gobliiins; and games based on LucasArts' SCUMM (Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion) system. The latter includes titles such as Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max, The Dig, and more.

This version adds support for 5 completely new games: "The Legend of Kyrandia: Book Two: Hand of Fate", "The Legend of Kyrandia: Book Three: Malcolm's Revenge", "Lost in Time", "The Bizarre Adventures of Woodruff and the Schnibble", and "Drascula: The Vampire Strikes Back". The number of supported platforms grew as well. The PS2 port has been revived, and the GameCube and Wii are now supported too.

This release adds support for a vast number of engines and games, among them all Sierra AGI games like Space Quest I and II, King's Quest I-III, and a ton of fan-made games. Some of the many ports were improved quite nicely, and overall the usual huge number of small fixes, tweaks and improvements were made.

This release has several major feature enhancements, including a brand new GUI with theme support, and support for two new games: Legend of Kyrandia (1) by Westwood, and The Feeble Files by Adventuresoft. Along with many other bugfixes and changes, the game detector has also been reworked with this release, ensuring better detection of fan translations.
