Project Description

The sift IMAP client is a simple scriptable tool
which allows you to carry out a number of
operations against the messages maintained on a
remote IMAP server. Using simple rules chained
together, you may select messages of interest and
apply various operations to them.

This release adds several more primitives for selecting messages, and updates each of the existing selection primitives to allow full Perl regular expressions to be used. The fetching of messages from the remote IMAP server has been improved to use the local disk as a cache. This means we may avoid fetching messages multiple times.
