Sound Converter is a simple sound converter application for the GNOME environment. It reads anything the GStreamer library can read, and writes WAV, FLAC, MP3, AAC, and Ogg Vorbis files.

You can now add folders recursively. A display of the approximate bit rate of the output has been added. The problem of the output format display not always being updated has been fixed. This release has correct handling of the absence of gstreamer-lame. A crash when creating output folders has been fixed. A crash when loading preferences has been fixed.
A French translation has been added. A bug causing Ogg tags to be ignored has been fixed. The quality setting has been reverted to 'real-world' quantities. Values stored in gconf are now the values passed to gstreamer and not meaningless enums.
