Project Description

SPyRO is a multilingual Object Request Broker
(ORB). SPyRO uses the most efficient available
connection between peers to minimize the costs of
transport and parsing in the communication. SPyRO
provides transparent and translucent remote object
access.

Pyrex support (SPyRO and all its packages can be compiled using pyrex to speed them up). An easier interface to the transluced mode. An old temporary hack to support iterators has been replaced with another temporary hack that is not too ugly. The API documentation in the Web page has been updated, and the code has been cleaned up.

The packages were divided into SPyRO and SPyDI. A
simple real time profiler script was added. Some
minor bugfixes were made in
threadutils/ThreadPool.py and SPyRO.py. An excess
of flush calls was fixed, since it causes slow
communication. Add compression of messages. The
source code was cleaned up.
