Project Description

TiK is a pure TCL/Tk implementation of AOL Instant Messenger (AIM). It has most of the features the native Win32 and Mac clients have, plus some extras. It includes a graphical buddy list display, full font support, graphical emoticons, away messages, buddy pounce, buddy ticker, IM/Chat capturing, message broadcasting, a GUI preferences system, and much more. TiK's expandable nature allows the addition of new features through packages.

Fixes for disruptive tiktools preprocessor regexp bugs, graphical emoticon support with the 16 'smilies' present in Win32 AIM, an Offline group on buddylist with offline buddies, Quickpounce, strikeout support, default for button bar is 'on' with updated icons, more tiktools features (/day, /date, /broadcast, etc.), a new buddy info box, splitting of tik.tcl into numerous files for ease of development, new buddylog, global loading of all images for faster performance, insertion of HTML tags where cursor is, and other minor changes.
