tpad (Tcl pad) is a portable enhanced clone of the
Notepad program from Windows XP. Its goal is to be as similar as possible to Notepad, while also adding
some new features.

A new I/O Encodings option under the Format menu,
multi-lingual support, regular expressions, search and
replace, interfaces to fmt, xmlwf, and HTML Tidy, a tip
window, an ASCII table, a new edit/insert file option,
and more reusable code. Some bugs were fixed.
This version is almost identical to Windows XP
Notepad, and also runs under Windows. Support was
added for editing multiple files in sequence. The
Next File menu option can be used to edit the next
file from the argument list. tpad can now be used
safely as a pager with the readonly or viewer mode
(-R option). Some bugs were fixed.
