Tapir User Manager provides all of the user
management features common on large-budget
commercial Web sites for new and existing sites
based on PHP/Apache/MySQL, including permanent

This release can be used to authenticate both Perl and PHP scripts. There are enhancements to cookie handling, email templates, host logging, the admin interface, save_post_variables(), and tapir_query. There is a major refactoring of Tapir_Auth object. Email verification has been overhauled; users can now change their email address. Administrators can view user sessions. SHA1/Base64 is used for stronger cryptography and higher bit density.
